Songs of June!

It's time for me to tell you what songs I've been loving this month so let's go!

Firstly, I've found an album I've really been liking. It's called 'I Love You.' by The Neighbourhood. I love all of the songs and It's just great!

Next up is more songs by The 1975 (oops.) I've been listening to their album for a while now but I never mentioned that I'd been listening to their EP's too. I loveeee some of the songs from their EP's. I won't link them all but I will list them all and I'd definitely recommend you give them a listen! (I'll put stars next to my favourites and I'm not including ones that are on the album.)

  • Intro / Set 3
  • Undo
  • You
  • Milk*
  • Anobrain
  • HNSCC*
  • Head.Cars.Bending*
  • Me*
  • Haunt // Bed
  • So Far (It's Alright)*
  • Fallingforyou*
  • Facedown
  • Antichrist
  • Woman

Now we have Chandelier by Sia. I'd heard many people talk about this song (and the music video) and I really love it!

5 Seconds Of Summer have a song called 'Don't Stop' and I love it! I loved She Looks So Perfect and this one is just as awesome.

The next one is from The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack. It's called 'Not About Angels' and it's by Birdy. It's slow and sad, but it's really good.

I would never usually listen to this band, but I wanted to give it a shot. I was overwhelmed, because they have so many songs, so I only listened to a couple, but I enjoy listening to 'Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High' by Arctic Monkeys.

So June is soon to be over, but I hope July will be awesome and have loads of cool music for me to share ;)

The Fault In Our Stars

The other day I went to the cinema to go and see the film 'The Fault In Our Stars' (which I'll refer to as 'TFIOS' for typing purposes.)

I'll start by saying that I LOVED the film so much and they definitely did the book justice.

I read the book a few months ago and I really enjoyed it. I didn't cry at the book, but obviously, I still found it sad and if you haven't read it I would definitely recommend it. As a brief summary, It's about a girl called Hazel who has cancer. Her parents encourage her to attend support group and she ends up meeting Augustus Waters. Basically the ending is very sad, but I won't give anything away (apart from in the next paragraph so maybe don't read that if you don't wanna know what happens!)

I think the film is amazing, because, even though it is a sad film, they manage to make it funny at the same time! Just as you're about to cry, something will make you laugh! I think Ansel and Shailene were great in the film! The one thing that disappointed me was that they missed quite a lot from the book (when Hazel went shopping, the airport etc.) However, the film worked well as it was and I can't stress how much I want to watch it again! Now onto the ending... The first part where the film gets particularly sad is when Augustus tells Hazel that he has cancer. This is actually quite a way from the end so I just sat there willing myself not to cry! As the film gets closer to the end, it gets sadder, but even then there are still funny parts, especially at the pre-funeral.

When Augustus died and the film began to end, there was not a dry eye in the cinema! I definitely think you should watch this if you haven't already, because it's just awesome!

Question of the blog: Have you seen Tfios?

Counting Down

I recently got an app called 'Countdown+' and I have to say, It's really cute!

I know it sounds so simple, but it's a cute little app with a cute little concept ^_^

It lets you count down the days until a certain event, birthday, or pretty much anything you want. It's basically just a better version of the regular calendar on your iPhone. I always find myself wondering how long it is to something, or it can remind you about things and make you more excited about them! I think it's important to get excited about even little things; it makes life happier!

I've only added a few events so far...

The app let's you add cute little images to the events which for some reason I find satisfying. It also shows you the exact amount of days, hours, minutes and seconds.

It also let's you share events with your friends.

Overall, I just love the simplistic-ness of this app and I think it's important to enjoy little things like this, and it helps you be excited for stuff as well as keeping track! Awesome :D

Question of the blog: What apps are you loving at the minute?

Life Update #2

A couple of months ago, I did a 'Life Update' post so here's another...

I'm sooooo sorry, that I haven't posted on here for a ridiculous amount of time! I'm not going to make up a ton of excuses but for the first week (and a bit) I was completely uninspired and had no motivation whatsoever, but for the rest of my 'absence' my keyboard on my laptop has been broken. Only a few of the keys were broken, but the 'A' key broke and that's a very important letter, so I've had to use the on-screen keyboard which has been annoying to say the least. I'm able to write this, because It's now fixed and I can get writing again!

Firstly, I went to see Little Mix a couple of weeks ago and it was AMAZING! I loved how they used the screens and lighting and it was honestly reallyyyyy good. The supporting acts weren't great, but when Little Mix (finally) came on stage I had an awesome time.

I have loads to look forward to this year including:

TFIOS & Mockingjay- Part 1: Two films that I am soooooo excited to watch!

London: I'm going on a little trip to London which should be lovely, since I haven't been in years!

The 1975 Live: I'm not gonna lie, this is probably the thing I'm most excited about! I've wanted see The 1975 live for a while, because I loooovveee their music and I can only imagine what the atmosphere will be like!

That's just a few but I also quickly want to mention that The Sims 4 comes out in September and I can't wait! There has been a Sims 4 poster in WalMart saying September 2nd, but obviously the date here in the UK will be a little later. They've revamped the whole website and you can see mini video clips of the Sims in the game. My personal favourite clip is the one which shows the neighbourhood. It looks amazing!

I've already had a Maths test, but there are lots of other tests coming up like my English one tomorrow :S

However, as soon as it's over I have nothing, but Summer, sun & exciting things ahead so I'm fine with working hard for a while ^_^

That's it for today, hopefully I'll be back on the blogging bandwagon very soon!
